As you’ll be aware, Coronavirus (covid-19) is having a profound effect on everyday life. Due to the most recent government advice, all face-to-face meetings, activities & events must be suspended with immediate effect.

We are closely monitoring the information from both the government & our national Scouts HQ.

Please find guidance from our HQ here:

“You will no doubt be aware that the Coronavirus situation continues to develop around the world.

The Prime Minister has announced that everyone in the UK should now avoid non-essential travel and contact with others. The safety of everyone involved in Scouts, both young people and adults, is our number one priority. That is always at the heart of our decision making. Given this new guidance, we have suspended all face-to-face Scout meetings, activities and events for the time being.
We have set up a dedicated web page at www.scouts.org.uk/coronavirus to keep you up to date on the latest developments.
It’s in challenging times like these that our Scout values matter most. We are talking to the Government and other community organisations to see how Scouts can support our country during this crisis.
We are also developing some fun activities for young people to do at home with their parents if families are faced with self-isolation. We will be communicating more about this soon.
We want to say thank you to all our amazing Scout volunteers. They have taken a calm and measured approach to this situation. They are continuing to ensure that young people and adults stay safe.”
