Welcome to the South Yorkshire Country Transformation pages.
As you will probably know by now, a lot of things are about to change in Scouting in the UK. Change creates a whole range of emotions and challenges, different for each and every one of us. Some embrace it, some hate it. B.-P. was always quick to emphasise, Scouting is a Movement and, as such, is not able to become static.
The four major themes of this transformation are:
- a warmer welcome for all,
- more engaging learning,
- positive volunteering every day
- digital support to get things done
It is now only a month and a bit until the new digital tools go live. Key dates are :-
7th November – Compass Freeze. Compass will NOT be available to any members from this date until the go-live date of the new system
28th November – Go-Live
To help members of South Yorkshire we’ve created a go-live support team. Each District has nominated a person as a Local Transformation Lead or local support volunteer. In addition each District Lead Volunteer is part of the go-live team.
